After Bepco learned that Wisconsin Valley Improvement Company (WVIC) has a grant program for boat landing repair, President Tim Garrigan applied for and was awarded the grant. Tim then lined up Mike Reigel (Reigel Plumbing & Heating) to operate the Back-hoe, Jeff Clark (JMC Trucking) to haul the needed gravel and Glen Kafka (Kafka Granite) donated the gravel for the project. WVIC’s grant included the necessary slabs of concrete (25 feet) for the project with included delivery. The Oxbo Boat Landing project was completed in one day & under budget. A sign was made by Stratford Sign co & installed on Oct 2011 to finish Project. The second grant awarded was the improvement of the Fisherman's Cove boating and the third was Maryel Boat Landing. Bepco has plans to refurbish one boat landing a year as long as WVIC has their grant program. Photographs were provided by Rande Loining, Bepco’s Photographer.
