Our New Challenge
Our Challenge of low water conditions on the Big Eau Pleine has caused widespread fish kills in the spring of 2008. The 2009 fish kill was worse south east of County Road S to the dam. Click here to do something about it!

The Solution
We realize that the Big Eau Pleine was built to ensure consistent water flows for the power utilities and paper mills on the Wisconsin River. We also believe that we can find a balance that allows the water to be drawn down as needed at a moderate pace and that an acceptable water level can be maintained to ensure water quality; sustainability of fish and wildlife; to support recreational use and promote a healthy environment.
